"Less is More" Challenge

Well, it's week two over at the Less is More Challenge and this week it's a one layer card (i.e. stamping straight onto the card with minimal embellishment) and the theme is trees or flowers.

Well I don't know how some have found this an easy challenge because I've had to do a fair bit of playing around before I found something I was happy with, so here it is:

I stamped the first tree with Versamark then embossed it with copper embossing powder, masked it and then stamped the second tree and sentiment with Kaleidacolor ink.  I then framed it with a double embossed line.

I'm fairly happy with it, though the stamping isn't perfect (but maybe that's just the virgo in me!)

Happy Crafting

Great card Suze!
I agree with you, OLCs are not always quick to make and sometimes many efforts end in the bin before I'm satisfied! Often things are too large or too small or too far to the left or right or whatever. However, this one looks wonderful... just right!
Thanks for joining us and do come back again next week!

this is lovely - great colours and technique - going to have to practice this masking thing as it really does make a good use of a stamp.

Hi Suze,
Clean and Simple look is not always easy to achieve, in this case you have done, just that... Lovely card.
I just love the KanBan stamps you have used. I have these in my stash but haven't used them yet, by the look of your card I think I should.

What a super stamp!
Great CARD
yES, LESS IS MORE ISNT quick at all. Its easier to cover a dodgy bit with an embellie but there nowhere to hide with OLC or CAS
You;ve done great!
Thanks for participating in our second challenge, hope you will continue to do so its so appreciated

Hi Suze
Thank you for your visit. I love the copper colour you have used and the embossing effect is so apt for the trees. Copper is one of my favourite colours. So much warmer than Gold or Silver.

Love the colours you have used and very different tree. I too threw so many cards away, mostly because of the colouring, even the one entered was not as I would have liked.

Love how you've embossed just the front tree, makes it pop against the background one, great idea. Overall effect is gorgeous.
