Trying to stay calm

Good morning bloggers,

Well I hope it's a good one for all of you - for me it's a stressed one.

I was out yesterday doing some crafty shopping with my mother.  We had just left one shop and were on our way to another, when CCCCRRRUNCH .... a big white van crumpled my backside .....(well, not me personally, but you know what I mean)

Thankfully, no-one was hurt and the insurance company are sorting it all out - but not a good day!!

So today I have to stay at home and wait for the garage and car hire company to call me, so I thought I'd make a start on a 'strip' quilt for my sewing group.  We're doing them for charity, they'll be donated to care homes so it will help keep some old biddy's lap nice and cosy ....

Well, better go and thread up the old machine, thanks for popping in and listening to my troubles.

Wishing you all a lovely day.

Suze xx

Oh Suze! What a shocker and for your mum as well she must have been quite shook up. It is amazing just how much you rely on your car - I take Mum all over the place and we were really lost when I couldnt drive for a while. Oh dear me...sending you a cyber hug + one for mum as well!! Cx

You're a good girl, Suze, and someday when you're an old biddy someone will see to it your lap is covered!

But so sorry to hear your van's backside was smashed! I hope the insurance and repairs and crap all gets sorted out in quick order. That's always, indeed, very stressful. So glad no one was hurt. Hugs!

Crumbs - sorry to see your car is so poorly! Good job you two were ok isn't it? My Husband was hit by a polish lorry on the M25, pushed and spun into the central barrier then momentum carried him to the hard shoulder facing the wrong way!! He got out with no ill effects too although he still mourns the loss of that car!
Wish I could come to your sewing group - sounds fun but rather too far!
Have a great weekend Suze.

Oh no Suze hope you are ok and so glad to hear you managed to get your crafty shopping in before the accident, what a nuisance now having to wait in and all of the red tape but the main thing is that you are ok. Cant wait to see what you come up with for your sewing class, keep us posted.
