Well the start of another week and can you believe we're half way through the year already and the sun has finally made an appearance in the north of Scotland!
Firstly, I must apologise for being totally AWOL the last couple of weeks. Life has taken over and together with the absence of Mr Mojo, I just haven't been blogging or crafting.
Anyway, I still wanted to fulfil my duties in producing something for the new Crafty Cardmakers Challenge which this fortnight is STEAMPUNK. Have to say, this is not really my genre but I found an hour to play at the weekend and I find making a tag is a good way of trying out new styles or techniques, so that's what I've gone for ...
The backing paper was from The Graphics Fairy, then I layered on a TH die cut clock which I silver embossed, a 'Steampunk' flower and sentiment which are PaperArtsy, then I stamped Mr Umbrella man onto acetate and layered him over the top. The acetate is held in place by a couple of grommets.
Our sponsors for this challenge are Di's Digistamps and The Stamp Man. Hope you can find the time to play along.
Well, my son's Air Cadet Squadron are having a family barbecue tonight and I'm on "bun duty" so I'd better shift my bahookie down to the supermarket!
Thank you so much for popping in,
Take care
Suze xx

wow tis great! Really feels Steampunky as well, and I love the fact you have just stuck to black and white. Hope the barbie went well Suze! Cx
I'm sorry Mr. Mojo is on vacation, but you've done very well on your own!! You look comfortable in this genre too!
Fabulous tag, and what a great idea to make a tag to try out a new technique, though it looks like you've been doing steampunk for AGES. This is awesome - I love the umbrella man stamped over the clock! Gives him a rather ghostly appearance!
This is very cool. I just found your blog and I have been going through some of your posts. You are a paper crafting wizard. I love your little notebooks, what a cool idea and your tags and cards are outstanding. I am your newest follower, and I would be tickle pink if you would choose to follow me back. I love paper crafting, but I also do a lot of other arty things. I just like to stay busy and be creative in one way or another; re-purposing, sewing, painting, paper crafts, gardening . . . I am a wife, mother and grandma that enjoys each day the good Lord sends by way.
Have a wonderful day,
Connie :)
