Love Letters In The Sand

Hi all,

I'm rushing in with a last minute entry for this week's Less is More Challenge which is the theme "SAND".

It's been ages since I've played along at LIM but as soon as I saw the theme word last weekend I've been thinking of nothing but the song "Love Letters In The Sand", so instead of sitting down to make a birthday card that I really need to make, I had to get this one out of my system first!

The letters are cut from sandpaper using SU dies and I've simply layered them onto various bits of DP paper.

Thanks for popping in to take a look, I've been at the chiropractor this week for a sore back and it gets a bit twingy if I sit for very long, so I'm away to lie down and watch Andy Murray play so I hope I don't put my back out again jumping up from the sofa!

Have a great weekend.

Suze xx

Such a great idea to use sandpaper for the lettering.
Take care with your back especially when watching the tennis, he never makes it easy for us to watch, does he?!

Hi Suze, Great idea to use sandpaper for your letters, made a brilliant card too!! Sorry to hear you have a painful back, hopefully it's feeling a little easier now and you are up and at 'em!! Murray did a great job, hope you enjoyed it and no hiding behind your fingers this time LOL Gay xx

I'm so glad you got this card out of your system so the rest of us could enjoy it, Suze! It is a genius take on the LIM challenge!

Sorry I haven't been around for a while; I've sure enjoyed scrolling back through the posts I've missed!

You must be over the moon about Andy winning!! Good lad!!

I hope your back snaps out of it soon!! xxoo Darnell

P.S. Sorry, forgot to say how inspired it was to cut your letters out of sand paper! Also, these are the colors of the City Crafters Challenge I mentioned in my post today, so you might want to link your card with them as well!

What a clever idea and to use your word as a play on words! I have shed loads of sandpaper, bought from the good old poundshop!
