Two Little Birds

Evening all,

Here I am, by the skin of my teeth, with a last minute entry for the Out of a Hat Challenge, which is BINGO ...

It was annoying me that I hadn't found time to enter, so I sat down, rummaged through the scraps on my table, found a nice little bird image and ended up with an (opening) ATC ...

I've gone for the bottom row - feather, text, image, beads

Sentiment (PaperArtsy) and Gate (Kanban) are embossed in gold, image is from The Graphics Fairy, a green feather and gold Liquid Beadz

Okay, that's is from me, I'm gasping for a cuppa!

Diamond Jubilee

Hi everyone,

Sorry, long time no see, life has taken over and Mr Mojo has gone awol! Lol!

I have a card for you today, I made it earlier in the year for a competition one of our local craft shops (The Papeterie) were running. However, I didn't post it at the time so I figure it's okay to enter it into some challenges now.

Pan Pastel Challenge -  Diamond Jubilee
The Stampman Challenge - Card for a Queen
Creative Craft Challenge - Red, White & Blue
Sir Stampalot Challenge- Medals and Monarchs

Made with the TH dress form die, Papermania paper pack, a few embellishments, touch of distress ink and the sentiment and numbers were PC generated.

We don't really go in for street parties in Scotland (it's more of an English tradition) but we do have a strong connection with the Queen - Balmoral is only about an hour's drive from where I am.  When it was William's wedding, I intended just to have the telly on in the background and go about my usual business but I found myself glued to the TV, not wanting to miss one minute! - I'm sure Tuesday will be the same.  My husband and son will not be interested and my daughter will be in Paris on her school trip, so I'll be sitting on my ownsome enjoying the festivities and they can see to their own lunch! Lol!

Hope you all enjoy the holiday weekend too.

Take care

Two Little Owls

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all enjoying some sunshine today - we've had lovely weather this weekend - about time too and long may it continue!

I've made a card using my favourite new punch - the owl from Stampin Up - which fits nicely with two challenges ...

This week's Less is More Challenge - which has a theme of A Baby or A Child, and
CAS-ual Fridays CFC53 Challenge - which is Punches or Dies

I already have a few baby cards in my stash so thought I'd make one for twins.

Owls stamped with Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid and punched out.  Nest and banner are from the Stampin Up Petal Cone Die, leaf is from SU bird punch.  Also used Swiss Dots and TH bark embossing folders, small flower punch and blingy flowers.  Sentiment is silver embossed.

Okay, that's me for today, have a great week everyone.

Take care

Paris Tag

Hi everyone,

I've got a tag for you today.  It's for this week's Out of a Hat Creations Challenge which this week is "LACE", and it also fits -

Simon Says Stamp and Show - "ANYTHING GOES", and
Fashionable Stamping Challenges - Cities of the World  (thanks Silvia)

I started by clear embossing a large Hero Arts lace stamp, then inked with Victorian Velvet and Aged Mahogany.  The tag then just evolved from there, using stuff that I already had lying on my desk ....

The little 'Amour' origami book was made for me by my daughter, the Eiffel Tower is Stampin Up and the lady image is from The Graphics Fairy.

My daughter is off to Paris on a school trip in a couple of weeks, so maybe that's what I had it mind when I put this tag together.  Wish I was going too as I've never been, although it's a very long bus journey from the North of Scotland.  She's a very fussy eater too, think she'll be surviving on a diet of french fries and croissants!

Oh well, that's me for today, enjoy the rest of your week ladies.

Two Flowers & A Sentiment

Hi Bloggers,

Here I am with a card for this week's Less is More Challenge which is a one layer card with the added stipulation of using EXACTLY three stamps.

I've used two small flower stamps and a sentiment. Flowers stamped with Brilliance Orchid, Versamagic Hydrangea & Versamagic Plumeria. Sentiment is stamped with StazOn Iris. A touch of bling and that's it - very quick and simple - well it wasn't that quick cause I messed up the sentiment first time and had to do it again!

Thanks for coming to visit, wishing you all a lovely week.

Platinum Anniversary

Hi everyone,

I was asked to make a card for a Platinum Anniversary - that's "70" years of marriage - can you imagine!

I'm entering the card into two new challenges for me ...

Mishelflo's Monthly Challenge - Celebration (which I found via Cheryl's blog), and
Let's Craft and Create - Special Occasion (which I found via Vicky's blog)

I borrowed the Stampin Up Baroque flourish from my mum (she's been a cardmaker far longer than I have) which I embossed in silver. Small flower punch is EK Success. Adhesive silver glitter paper from Hobbycraft, computer generated sentiments, some seam binding and lots of bling.

Thanks for taking the time to visit.

Happy Crafting

A Splash of Yellow Sunshine

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all having a nice weekend wherever you are. We've actually had a sunny day here today although it's still very cold - The saying "Ne'er cast a clout till May be out" is certainly going to apply this year!

On to this week's Less is More Challenge which is the colour YELLOW.  Not a colour I often use and the only yellowish ink I have is Crushed Olive distress ink, which to me is definitely more yellow than olive!

The stamps are Wendy Vecchi - I stamped the butterfly again onto acetate (which I'd coloured with a yellow promarker) to give the wings more dimension ...

I also make a second card.  This one's a bit of fun and I'm submitting it to the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge, which this week is BIRTHDAYS.

Rummaging through my stuff, looking for something yellow, I came across a bag of feathers.  The card base is lemon, the owl is a Stampin Up punch and the sentiment is PC generated.

Thanks for visiting,
Have a great week
