Congrats with a Flourish

Hi all,

I've a quick and simple card for you today, made for the new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and More. Elaine has chosen the theme "FLOURISHING", she would like to see some kind of flourish on your project.

This really was the quickest card ever ... I simply stamped the flourish from Stampin Up, Baroque Motifs twice with Rich Razzleberry; added the Papermania sentiment which I silver embossed and added a couple of glitter butterflies using a Martha Stewart punch.  A few little rhinestones finished it off.

Our sponsor for this challenge is The Stamping Boutique

I do hope you can join in our challenge, thanks for popping in today.

Take care

CAS Baby Cards

Hi all,

The weather at the moment is pretty rubbish for the end of May, so I stayed inside today and spent a little time crafting.

I've made a baby card for two CAS challenges.  Less is More are asking for DIE CUTS and Addicted to CAS are looking for TEXTURE ...

I cut a large heart aperture using a Sizzix die, then embossed with large dots.  I then used my two new Memory Box dies to cut the heart and sentiment.

Waste not, want not, I used the die cut heart to make another (less CAS) baby card.  Looking at it I should have placed the sentiment slightly higher, but hey ho, it's stuck down now! Lol.

Okay that's me for today but I would just like to finish by saying a big THANK YOU to all you lovely Limette ladies who paid me a visit last week.  Your kind comments were much appreciated!

Okay dokey, bye for now
Take care

Sewing for School Fair

Hi all,

I've been busy doing some sewing for the upcoming Summer Fayre at the local Primary School.

I bought some fun fabric and have made some colouring book holders ...

Some have crayons for younger kiddies

and some have pencils and a sharpener

and I made bookmarks from the left over bits of fabric

I'm really enjoying doing some sewing for a change and I can't wait to get on with my quilt once this Fair is past.

I'm linking my makes to Handmade Monday.

Thanks for popping in, hope you are all well!

Flowers for LIM

Hi all,

It's been SO long since I've joined in with the Less is More Challenge but when I saw the theme this morning was FLOWERS, well it just so happened I made a card yesterday which fits perfectly.

I've used the same Memory Box Poppy die as Chrissie and added Stickles to two of the flowers. The sentiment is from Stampin Up, embossed in gold.

Okay, that's me, short and sweet! Enjoy your weekend.  We were hoping to have a BBQ today but the sky is getting increasingly grey, so maybe it will have to be fish and chips instead!

Thanks for popping in

Quickie Birthday Card

Oopsie, I just realised today that I needed to do a birthday card, so I checked out the latest challenges and have taken inspiration from the sketch over at  CAS on Sunday and the photo inspiration at Addicted to Stamps. My card also fits with the current challenge at CAS-ual Fridays.

Here's my card ...

The 3 squares were cut using Spellbinders, the foliage die is Cheery Lynn and the 3 birds are Memory Box.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up, embossed in gold.  Think it took me about 30 mins to do, so that's a quickie for me!

Thankfully the weather has been much warmer today .... we might get a summer after all!

Thanks for popping in, wishing you all a lovely weekend.

Shaker Cards

Hi everyone,

And a happy Friday evening to you all.

I've been admiring the shaker cards that seem to be "on trend" at the moment, in particular I've been inspired by recent cards made by the very talented Kim and Darnell.

So I thought I'd have a go ...

This one has been made with a free digi image from Handmade Harbour, so I'm linking this one to Midweek Papercraft Party.

My second one is for the current challenge over at The Card Concept, which is "Monochromatic Purple". My card fits the "Clean and Simple" category.

Supplies Used:

Okay, that's me for this evening.  Here's hoping we get some nice weather for this May Day weekend.
