"Less is More" Challenge

This week over at the Less is More Challenge, the theme is 'Masculine'.  I'm sure the majority of us went "aaagh!!" when we read it, but we're not quitters are we ladies!  So here is my entry:

I stamped and clear embossed the image once onto white card, then again onto patterned paper. I then paper pieced the main section of the cake and coloured the remainder with promarkers (with a little bit of stickles on the flames).

I then matted the cake onto embossed and textured card.

Stampendous Fifteen Candles Stamp Set
Dovecraft Paper
Versafine Vintage Sepia Ink & Clear Embossing Powder
Promarkers & Diamond Stickles
Swiss Dots Embossing Folder

Away now to check out the other entries.  Thanks so much everyone for taking the time to visit and leave comments.

Happy Crafting
Suze x

What a great idea - I think the colours you chose make the cake very male but you culd do it again with pinks for a girl. Really striking card.
