Having Fun

Hi all,

Thanks for popping in - hope today finds you fit and well!

I've been a bit fed up lately with just making cards so I decided to have a bit of fun and join in with the The Craft Barn Challenge.  (You need to get your skates on if you want to join in though 'cause it closes tomorrow)

The challenge is to use one of six colouring techniques and I've gone for -
Using misters (Dylusion or another brand) with a straw

I used the only sprays I have - Glimmer Mists (Jazz Blue & Viva Pink). I have to say I found it quite difficult blowing through the straw - thought I was going to hyper ventilate - so I ended up using an air pump which I have for blowing up one of those big exercise balls.

Here's the result - at first I thought it looked like trees but then I thought, no, they look like stick people ...

So I added PaperArtsy heads which I coloured with Promarkers ....

and finished it off with a frame and sentiment.

I thoroughly enjoyed just having a play, don't think I've blown through a straw since I was at school - and as they say - a change is as good as a rest!

I'm also going to play along with Simon Says Stamp and Show - "No Rules - Anything Goes"

Apologies for being a bad blogger the last few days, will do my best to catch up with you all over the weekend.

Thanks again and take care.

Suze xx

Oh I love that so much!!It's so creative and inventive - you can be both at once I'm sure! I was going to enter but I just didn't get my piece finished in time so sadly will miss that one - I'm there tomorrow on a Neil Walker class so I can't do it then either!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Well Mrs B I think you should be fed up more often as this is glorious ! I love your funky weird faces and they look amazing perched there on top of the stick bodies. You want to be careful blowing through straws at your age I hope you had the emergency services on speed dial !!!

sorry just cant resist saying something mean you bring out the worst in me and I love it !

Hi Suze - now that is CLEVER! Super super clever, creative and fun. Love those paper artsy heads and the challenge itself was so off the wall that it was bound to bring out some great results. Cx

Hi Suze, This is a classic, I love the heads on your inky blown bodies they're fantastic with a brilliant sentiment too LOL
Facinating to hear that your father was working in a paper mill, they worked dreadful hours, I felt sorry for my dad and I was only little. Life was harder then and jobs were precious! Thank you for your lovely comments and for passing on the CB candy news, well done, :0) Gay xxx

Ingenious! Used this technique with children in the distant past. You have brought it right up to date.
