USE INK
(i.e. try not to use any computer generated image or sentiment)
I thought I'd have a go at what Mandi had done - ink up an acrylic block and stamp straight onto the card. Well, I gave it a couple of goes and basically the result was pants (and the card warped a bit).
I'll cut it up and use it in another project but I decided to try something else .....
I masked off a panel and inked over some sequin waste with Stormy Sky & Faded Jeans Distress Ink
I then stamped my image and sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black and added a couple of gems ...
(Image is Kanban Mini 06 & sentiment is American Crafts Sentiments)
Have a great week everyone, thanks ever so much for stopping by. I'll try and get round as many of you as possible but I think there's going to be LOTS of entries this week.
A quick edit - I've trusted Chrissie suggestion and stamped over my 'pants' inky attempt ... what do you think ....
I think we have to admit she was right!

Your card is fabulous Suze... but I think that you would be surprised how wonderful your background will look once overstamped with an image of some sort. DO try it and see. Often backgrounds seem to come to life once the card is finished.
Please try it!
Thanks so much fro joining us again.

Now where did I put my sequin waste? Both cards are stunning - so different but both so effective.
Wow, I tried that acrylic block thing and mine was pants too. I kept it to use for punching but after seeing your image stamped over it I might have another go. Your second card is fabulous. I love the effect you get with sequin waste.

Beautiful cards, did wonder what I was looking at with the first card but so glad you didn't through it away, the dress image changed the look completely, looks stunning. Must give this a go. Thanks for sharing Carolxx
It's funny how we think something is a waste, and someone else can look at it and see art- I think it's fab with the stamping overtop, and I really like the colours you used. The blue card is stunning as well.
Fantastic cards, love them both
Both are fab cards Suze! Ingenious use of the sequin waste, love the look you achieved! So glad you rescued your first card, that dress is perfect stamped over your background!

Wow, so glad you held onto that first attempt...the dress overstamped on it is beautiful! (I have that stamp and rarely use it...I should break it out and try this!) I love the other card as well...soft, subtle inking and beautiful image and sentiment. Way to go!

I love your dotty sequin one, really well balanced and pretty. I too had a problem with 'splodging' ink on a card (still haven't managed this week's challenge!!)but it really does look better stamped with the dress.

Wow! Two total stunners (Yep, she was right!) I love them both
Great cards. It would have been so easy to throw the inky one away, but the gorgeous dress stamp finishes it off perfectly.
Fab cards Suze!! Love the effect created by sponging through sequin waste. Your 'pants' card turned out beautifully too!
