Nearly threw a wobbly when I saw the challenge Von has chosen this week over at Just for Fun - "Medieval" - the days of Knights, Maidens, Dragons and Merlin!
After a bit of thought and head scratching I decided to doodle an illuminated letter ...
I used gold acrylic paint and promarkers.
It's no masterpiece and not very elaborate - but then again - it is "Just for Fun"!
Thanks for taking the time to visit.

Nice to see a different interpretation of the theme - now why did I not think along these lines?
Love how you have illuminated your initial - good thinking and a great job you made of it.
Thanks for the support.

Well Done ! I looked at illuminated letters as an idea but they do look so complicated. Yours is so beautiful.

Great idea love your take on this week's theme. Von set us a toughie didn't she. Your initial is brilliant and it really makes us realise just how skilled those monk draftsmen were. thank you for playing and sharing again with us at Just for fun. XOXO Zoe

It was a hard challenge this week wasnt it - but I reckon you have nailed it. Its very manuscript - and very medieval. Took me three goes to spell medieval let alone think of a project to do!
Good idea for your challenge. Now I see this as an applique cushion. Shall we see this in fabric sometime?

This is great Suze. Your doodling is great as are the colours. Dianne.
Hi Suze. Some of the best ideas come from having fun. From one little creative spark a fire ignites. I agree with Aileen. I can see this in applique. Lush velvets maybe and some beading.
