Fancy Some (Crumb) Cake!

Hi All,

It's Sunday evening and that's another weekend gone and can you believe it's the first of July. That's our schools now on holiday for 7 weeks, hmm, wonder if I'll be able to motivate my teenagers to venture out of their bedrooms!

Onto my card then, and I'm entering it into two challenges this week:

Less is More, Week 74 - it's a Lucky Dip week and Chrissie and Mandi have challenged us to use the LIM logo as inspiration, and

Dynamic Duos #9 - Crumb Cake and any another colour of your choice (you're also allowed to use any neutral colours)

(I'd also like to say a big congratulations to Kim who is guest designer on LIM this week and she's also on the DT for Dynamic Duos)

I used Stampin Up Elementary Elegance stamp set, stamped in black and clear embossed, SU butterfly embosslits, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card and Very Vanilla ribbon.

Yesterday it was Armed Forces Day and as my son is in the Air Cadets he participated in a march down the main street of Aberdeen - here are a few pics

The Air Cadets

The pipes and drums

Aberdeen, "The Granite City"

Okay, I'm going to grab myself a cuppa now and catch up with my commenting.

Have a nice week.

Suze xx

What a beautiful CAS card Suze - I love the tag style and those beautiful pearl-centred butterflies. It's lovely to see your photos too - Aberdeen looks gorgeous with its bunting up and I bet the parade was wonderful. I love the pipes (although they always make me want to cry!) Vicky x

A beautiful stylish and sophisticated card, love the neutral tones and the placement on this elegant card. Ahh what a proud momma you must have been seeing your son in uniform. Those men in kilts is it true what they say about you know what you being a scots lass surely can know the truth.

I think it's the down side to being a card maker!! They have high expectations....trouble is making cards doesn't improve my memory :0)
