Hope you're all having a lovely weekend.
I've a card for you today, made for the CASology challenge
Again, I've been stumped with this week's CASology Challenge, however, I started to tidy up my craft room yesterday (it's going to take a while!) and came across my "Back in the Saddle" stamps from WaltzingMouse.
This was my first attempt but for me it was just too messy to be CAS
The card base is embossed with TH woodgrain EF and the sentiment and cowboy were stamped with VersaMagic Night Sky and clear embossed.
This was my second attempt, and for me, much more 'clean and simple'
Sentiment stamped in Bundled Sage and clear embossed, cowboy stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia, mounted onto some DP.
Now, I'll give you all a laugh, my first idea was to do something using fingerprint faces of my own family but I thought it looked too naff to put on a card. They actually do look like us.
Okay that's it for today,
Thanks for coming to visit.
Suze xx

The first one has a western feel due to the woodgrain, but you're right about the second being more CAS. Love this western take on Family - made me smile! Thanks so much for playing along with CASology this week!
Suze, I loved seeing your process with the cards and fingerprint faces, too! I agree that the second card is a more CAS style, but I do like the woodgrain feel to the first card (both nice!). Well done!
Great cards and I LOVE your family 'photos'!! Valerie
Got to agree about the second card, but both look fantastic.
Love the finger family.

Brilliant dialogue Suze:0) Great texture with the woodgrain on your first card, the second is really CAS and your family portraits lifted my spirits, I don't think they're naff at all, great job LOL Gay x
Just love your finger print family Suze :) A pretty clean looking bunch to me
Von ♥

The first one has a great feel to it with that woodgrain effect but I'd say you were right to go with your instincts for the second card as it has a more CAS style.
Great cards and the fingerprint one is such fun.

Great pieces of art, the faces make me smile :)
Loved the first card, second card lovely and simple, very chic, finger card! Wayhey! great fun!!!! Don't chuck it...layer it and frame it!...you can use it to search for evidence when the chocolate goes missing....:O)
Fun card, but those faces, Suze, those are priceless!!!
Thank you for taking the time to comment on my latest column at Unruly Paper Arts, I appreciate it!
:)
Lovely cards - I liked both of them to be honest. Yes I would be able to pick your family out anywhere from those fingerprint portraits - very realistic! Take care Cxx
I really like both of your cards, but think my favourite has to be the first one!x
P.sYou're fingerprint family made me laugh and your right there is an uncanny resemblance to you all ....hee he x
Of course, the first remark HAS to be regarding your fingerprint family. I first got a good laugh, which I needed, and now I'm going to notify the authorities so they can add this phenomenal set of handsome prints to their data base. They were getting bored with the usual whorls and swirls, so you'll be the making their day!
Second, love your western CAS card for the family challenge! I like the second one better, only because the two horses running onto and then off the page looks more like a posse. Really cool!!
I dont know why you are worrying about your naffness as it never seemed to bother you before , but seriously folks three great cards and I do love those little fingermejigs seriously funny which one are you !
Marie
I think you should take up finger painting!! An exact likeness too!! Super cards Suze and love the western ones too. x
