Seeing Double

It's a "one layer" week over at the Less is More Challenge with the added requirement of

SEEING DOUBLE
So on your entry this week, we'd like to see TWO of something.

so I've gone for two of everything ...

Background circle stamp is Hero Arts with Tattered Rose Distress Ink
Foliage is Papermania Oriental Treasure with Versafine Olympia Green & Diamond Stickles
Butterfly is Hero Arts Antique Engravings with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink

I realise the whole thing should have been positioned slightly higher so that it left a bit of blank space at the bottom but maybe I can just about get away with it! Or maybe I should just trim the top off?

You can skip this next bit but it was my birthday yesterday and I just wanted to share the fabulous handmade cards I received from family and friends - thank you all so much ...

Have a great week everyone and thanks for visiting.

If ever I get a card that for whatever reason the positioning is not quite as I had envisaged, I sometimes do a little creative cropping, so that the images sit more comfortable on the card.
Things which are positioned quite close to an edge often look better either further into the centre of the card or off the edge completely.
Looking at this one, my instinct would be to crop it vertically through the centre of the right hand circle... you'd lose one of the butterflies, but the greenery that was left would suggest a repetition...
What think you?
These were just my musings you understand.
The card is lovely!
Thanks so much
Chrissie

Hi Suze, happy birthday for yesterday. You received some lovely cards and your daughter made a beautiful job of decorating your cake. It looks delicious.

I love your card, I would not have noticed your positioning unless you pointed it out. Sue.x

Happy Birthday for yesterday, looks like we are both the same number of years young! I like the duo of everything, wonder what it would look like if they had been "off the page"? Beautiful card, love that butterfly

Lovely card
I think Id actually put part of the stamping on the top right, in line with the bottom, as if the design is part of a bigger picture. It will mean stamping off the page, and no butterfly.
It looks good as it is, however, you just didn't sound overly pleased
Good to see you
Thank you
Mandi
